Gulmarg fashion show : There has been an uproar over organizing a fashion show in the snowy valleys of Gulmarg during the holy month of Ramzan. People allege that this event promoted vulgarity and obscenity. Seeing the anger of the people, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has come into action. He has asked the officials to submit a report within 24 hours. The CM says that action will be taken against those responsible on the basis of this report. On this issue, Mirwaiz of Kashmir Umar Farooq has said that obscenity will not be tolerated in the name of promoting tourism.

Outrage in Snowy Gulmarg
Mirwaiz Farooq said in a post on 'X', 'This is extremely shameful! An obscene fashion show was held in Gulmarg in the holy month of Ramzan, whose pictures and videos have gone viral. This has angered the people. How can this be tolerated in a valley known for Sufi saint culture and the deeply religious outlook of the people?' He said that those involved in organizing this event should be held accountable.

Obscenity in the name of tourism will not be tolerated'
Mirwaiz said, Such obscenity in the name of promoting tourism will not be tolerated in Kashmir." Reacting to Mirwaiz's post, Abdullah said, "The anger among the people is completely understandable. The pictures I have seen show complete disregard for local sensibilities and that too during this holy month (of Ramzan).

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Abdullah said, 'My office is in touch with the local authorities and I have asked for a report within the next 24 hours. Further action will be taken on the basis of this report.' Social activist Raja Muzaffar Bhat called the program an attempt to destroy the moral and religious values ​​of Kashmir.
